Residents of Bremen

Alistair Noomworthy Aide to the Speaker. Human
First encountered on Flamerule 8 outside Town Hall

The aide to the town speaker. He is pompous and rude, but no doubt has his hands full trying to keep Dobulgruf from wandering off task (and potentially out of town). You first met him while investigating Ditte Bang's residence and he remained your point of contact while "speaker-sitting".

Cora Mulphoon Proprietor of Buried Treasure, Inn. Human
First encountered on Flamerule 8
Mother of Huarwar Mulphoon

The owner of the only inn in Bremen treats her guests like royalty while trying to conceal the fact that she is barely making ends meet. You stayed at the Buried treasure your first night in Bremen, before moving to the Speaker's mansion.

Darby Snide Proprietor of The Knuckleheader tavern. Dwarf
First encountered on Flamerule 9

His business is currently closed, but Darby still resides in town and keeps a regular eye on the facility. Darby has stories of seeing footsteps form in the snow in front of his eyes, around five months ago.  He did entertain talks with Finna Bristlehead regarding selling the business to her, but in the end, couldn’t bear to part with it yet and has hopes that this winter will end, and then the crowds will return for an alternative to the rowdy five-center taverns.

Ditte Bang Retired Tinkerer. Human
Missing

Ditte was in the party traveling to Sheha Alari thirty years ago, that was saved in part by Elva Olfandrus. She maintains her friendship with the Shanes in Good Mead, although it has been years since they have seen each other.  She was not in her home when you arrived on Flamerule 8, and through investigation you learned she has been missing for some time, and was possibly taken by,  "Not yeti, but something like yeti ... With dwarves, three, like dwarf but not dwarf."

Dorbulgruf Shalescar Town Speaker. Dwarf
First encountered on Flamerule 8 outside Town Hall

Age has addled his mind, and his vacant-eyed stare is often mistaken for unflappable calmness.  During your time watching over the speaker, his deteriorating mind made up some fantastical tales -- but some of those tales are turning out to be true.

Duff Kilm Proprietor of Stones tavern. Dwarf
First encountered on Flamerule 10

Duff is a coarse sort himself, and his broad shoulders and broken face attest to his ability to both dole out and withstand punishment, but he seems to prefer pranks over violence. You met Duff in his tavern

Alyonna and Ekatrina. Awakened Wolves
First encountered on Flamerule 16 outside Bremen

After negotiating with the speaker, these awakened wolves inform you they saw a woman matching Ditte's description being kidnapped and taken south.

Ewin Lif Proprietor of Ewin's Trinkets, mercantile. Halfling.  Deceased
First encountered on Flamerule 8

The owner of the unorganized junk shop confided in you that someone had recently stolen his collection of black ice.  A victim of murder, you retrieved Ewin's corpse and returned it to Bremen on Flamerule 19.

Finna Bristlehead Entrepreneur. Dwarf
First encountered on Flamerule 18 at the residence of Nimsy Huddle, Lonelywood
Daughter of Vek Bristlehead.

Finna is a sharp entrepreneur and, by comparison to the dwarf owners, calm and collected with a head for business over rivalry. You met Finna in Lonelywood and informed her that her father and his associates had reconsidered the sale of their businesses to her and were now in favor.  At this news, she withdrew from purchasing the Ramshackle Inn and set off for Bremen.

Grynsk Berylbore Fishmonger.  Dwarf
First encountered on Flamerule 8 at the town docks

The gruff fishmonger and "fleet" owner tried his best to get you to do some fishing for him, concealing that the task was more dangerous than it seemed.

Halak Proprietor of The Rivers Mouth, tavern.  Dwarf
First encountered on Flamerule 10

Halak is generally condescending and sanctimonious towards the other owners, seeing himself as the intellectually superior. He regularly uses big words in the wrong manner and makes up words thinking no one will know the difference. Vek tried recruiting you to steal a keg of beer back from Duff Kilm.

Huarwar Mulphoon  Assistant at Buried Treasure inn. Human
Son of Cora Mulphoon

The teenager has absorbed all of his mother's hospitality and enthusiasm to show guests his small town.

Jalurn Bhiln Proprietor of Grumpy Moose tavern. Dwarf
First encountered on Flamerule 10

Naupegus Stith Boatwright. Dwarf
First encountered Flamerule 13 at the town Fishhouses.

Naupegus assisted you in restoring the Quagswag to her former glory.  He also added skids to help it move across ice.

Vormul Marftid Proprietor Bearded Brother tavern. Dwarf
First encountered on Flamerule 10

Jalurn and Vormul often argue and shout profanities at one another to the amusement of the patrons across their adjoining taverns, but they always put the interest of the combined tavern over their frequent quarrels.

Vek Bristlehead  Proprietor of Even Keel tavern. Dwarf
First encountered on Flamerule 10
Father of Finna Bristlehead

Vek has a sour demeanor and frequently tells cynical jokes.   After being sent to talk to Vek by Duff, you learn his daughter made inquiries with all five owners a month ago, but grew tired of their prideful hemming and hawing and left town. In the tenndays since, all five owners have come around on the offer and regret possibly missing their opportunity.

Dannika Greysteel Dawnbringer Acolyte and Naturalist. Half-elf
First encountered on Flamerule 8 at the town docks

On loan to Bremen from the House of the Morninglord in Bryn Shander, It was Dannika who informed you of the giant barracuda in Maer Dualdon -- a detail Grynsk Berylbore wasn't too keen on sharing with you. Dannika asked you to watch over the speaker at his mansion for a  few days while she studied the surrounding wildlife (specifically, chwinga, you would later learn). She joined you at the Tower of the Stormlord. On Flamerule 12th, she set off for Bryn Shander to report back to Mithann what you had learned about Auril and Talos.

First encountered Flamerule 7 at Kelvin's Comfort

Your chance encounter with the town speaker didn't tell you too much about her, other than she was gracious with the townfolk who seem to regard her well. She is also aware of, if not involved in, Wolfstad Grimwold's search for Forkbeard.

Eldath Bonetwister Kamirakurra Companion.  Goliath

Elric raves about the potential of black ice as a substance for magical crafting. Days later, Irisiskree got a look at the potential murderer:  “He was fierce, and very tall. A few swipes with my dagger seemed to barely tickle him.  Reghedmen through and through - wore the top half of a wolf head for a cloak hood -  that’s as Reghed as it gets!  No beard though - strange for Reg.  Swung at me with a sickle a few times - hard and fast"
